Food

The philosophy of food reflects on the ethical, political, social, artistic, identity-defining aspects of food. It spurs from the challenge to more actively pondering our diets and eating habits so as to understand who we are in a deeper, more authentic way. What should we consider of the food we eat?  What land, people, and creatures are involved in its creation?  What life is taken and is that right, wrong, somewhere in between?  What labor is intrinsic to producing a delicious meal?  How does our lineage, DNA, and culture play a role in our experience with food?  What about food as an art, a form of self-expression and exploration? How has food been used as a way to control people? Why do people have different tastes? Do you have any memories or experiences around food?
